DUVETYNE
This fire-resistant cloth offers a quick and easy way to extinguish fire toys. Better than damp towels because it doesn't get moldy, requires no water, quickly smothers flame, is instantly ready for use, and packs and stores without special treatment. Just air-dry it and shake it out to remove soot and unspent fuel. (Do not wash or dry clean Duvetyne. See our FIRE SAFETY manual for further use and care notes.) We carry the heavier, 16 oz Duvetyne, also known as Commando Cloth.

GRIPS & LEASHES
-
BALL-STYLE 1.25" WOOD GRIPS: $10.00 per pair
For advanced spinners. Great for release and toss moves. Each grip comes with an oval quick-link. For larger or smaller wooden ball grips, contact us.
-
SINGLE-LOOP NOMEX GRIPS: $10.00 per pair
These soft Nomex grips can be quickly formed into a quick-release locking finger-grip, a large stopper knot, or left as a simple open loop. Unlike nylon webbing or leather, our 3/4" Nomex webbing will not burn, melt, or retain heat. However, they will absorb fuel so watch for flames. But don't fear these grips if they light up: just drop them and let your spotter put them out (or stomp on them). They will wear out with extended use, but you can easily tell when they need replacing. Each grip comes with a delta quick-link.
-
POI LEASHES:
Make your own by ordering specific lengths of Ball-Chain in either #15 or #20 (we recommend #15 Ball-Chain for poi unless you do snap-backs or throws, for which #20 Ball-Chain is safer). You'll need two end-connectors for each finished length of Ball-Chain (that's four per pair of poi). Add a pair of grips, a pair of torch heads and as many extra Quick-Links as needed (our torch heads and grips come with their own Quick-Links).
-
METEOR LEASHES:
Make your own by ordering at least a foot of #20 Ball-Chain per torch head and two End-Connectors per finished chain. You'll also need two Quick-Links to connect the Ball-Chain to the rope. we recommend a 3/8" to 1/2" soft woven rope in the length you find most comfortable. This is the part likely to need replacing soonest, so get several pieces or a large hank at your local hardware store. And there's always the Home Depot bondage department.
-
METEOR HAMMER LEASHES:
Make your own from our parts and supplies. Experienced Hammer and Dart artists may prefer special rope or chain in lengths of up to 25 feet. The rest of us will probably be happy with a total length of 13 feet or less of ordinary soft woven 3/8" rope.
